If i could, i would...

Randomize Mobs (As in: Spawnpoints, Skillsets (from a list of pregenerated sets that is))
Purpose: Make PvE less repetition of the same. Once you've been through and you've got a somewhat good memory you can predict everything. Boring.

Remove Favorsystem
PVPers shouldn't decide over PVE Areas and vice versa. The PVE influence on PVP has been eliminated, eliminate it for the other side as well.

/edit:
Introduce a TOTAL hero/henchmen limit of (max players / 2).
This way heroes and henchmen become what they're meant to be: Addons, rather than replacements.

BUT
Also introduce a better pugsystem. Something along the lines of a PuG Bulletin where every forming party shows up. You can see entrys from other districts and you can even switch the missions somewhere to see how the situation is in another mission.
Once you've found a party, invite yourself and if they accept, you'll get there in no time. Also introduce the same for players putting themselves up for partying.

They've had two Championship events, both with total cash prizes of 100,000.

If I were Anet, I would make the GW world a bit more dynamic. GW's strength rests in characters' builds, and it's a shame that game world is so static and boring to play in. No matter how great storyline is, it's only good first time through. Who actually cares about Varesh/Shiro taking over the world?? All we want when playing the second or third time, is to get all points of interest shown on the map, and those endgame items. To have any replayability in an online game like this, players' actions have to affect the game world in some way to keep players connected to that world.

Factions has many great potentials that were simply rushed/misused, one of which is the shifting global map based on outcomes of alliance battles. I wish Anet can go much further on this, making the whole game world a dynamic battlefield, with players taking sides and battle outcome far more significant than what Factions gave us. Imagine players as not heroes, but paid fighters, and game world change based on the outcome of our involvement. After all, if most players care about are fame/money/cool items, they are more akin to mercenary than heroes anyway, right? IMHO dynamic interactivity is what the GW world desperately needs, more so than another lackluster story or boring static continent. Players need to feel like been part of a community playing/fighting for something important, than just get together for a mission or a few rounds of pvp. Guild ranking alone just isn't meaningful enough to majority of players out there playing this game. We need more...

If I had the power...

I'd say: chapter 1-3 were book 1, and that book is closed now. We continue with book 2: comepletely new skills and classes. Higher level cap (50)... As a result chr's cant travel between the books or enter each others pvp games. Time to continue with a completely fresh game! And yes, lots of suggestions mentioned here can be used in that game.

1. Add a key ring to storage

2. Add a drop down to logon for email addresses so it remembers mulitple ones.

3. Add the ability to access all the characters bags at once from the pick character page.

make rubies and sapphies more available in the PvE atmosphere, or at least place them in a predictable place for farming.

their price is too damn high!!

Get rid of the stand-one idea and just have more end game content.

1. Make more FOW type maps that have something to work for in them. Armor weapons etc.
2. Make nightfall and factions like prophecies, run anywhere and do any mission out of order.
3. Don't force people to grind for faction or sunspear point to continue on in game.
4. Make an armor set that cost more then fow armor and harder to get to the area, so sickos can look different.
5. I understand designers want the game played a certain way(and you people do a great job), some people don't want to grind for 2500 sunspear points on all of their chars. At least with factions it was account based.
6. Auction house would be nice but if they have put it in yet they are not going to.
7. Take out unconditional weapons

The people that post articles on the main page of guild wars should play the game, ex 5000 sunspear for general or 9 ranks in lightbringer

Not necessarily more expensive, but harder to get. Something like you must have protector title, certain percentage of map explored (80%), certain experience acheived.

That would elimate the people that buy fissure armor because they can simply afford to ebay it.

But if I had the power to do anything....I'd want to be able to make incompetent people glow...hmm bright pink....so everyone around knows to avoid them.

I would give every GW player a free 1month trial of WoW and EQ2 - so they would stop whining about how bad GW is.

1. More cowbell
2. Mix and match faces/hair of previous chapters with current ones provided you own both
3. Less of the same, more of the not-the-same

Remove heroes from HA, encourage man-pvp play, and do something about those boring paragon-based holding builds in death match maps, where you don't kill neither they do.

Reconnects, storage tabs, dye storage, new emotes.
